On February 2, the RA NA independent deputies Taguhi Tovmasyan, Vardan Atabekyan, Anna Grigoryan, Sofia Hovsepyan, Gor Gevorgyan and Sergey Bagratyan met with the candidate for the Chairperson of the Court of Cassation Lilit Tadevosyan, candidates for judge Armen Mkrtchyan and Armen Haykyants.

During the meeting a discussion was held on the judicial-legal reforms, problems and perspectives of having free courts.

The participants of the meeting highlighted the necessity of having independent judicial system, exchanged ideas on creation of necessary toolset in relieving the burden on the courts and accountability of the activities of the Court of Cassation and the necessity of feedback with the public.

The independent MPs listened to the candidates for the Chairperson and the judge of the Court of Cassation, addressed questions to them on the problems of the sphere and the candidates’ vision. in their settlement.
